SuperDerivatives’ executive management team brings a wealth of experience to the direction and operations of the company. Each member is a seasoned professional with ‘real world’ experience in the financial sector, where it’s in investment banking, corporate treasury, options trading, hedge funds or venture capital.

David Gershon
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

David Gershon founded SuperDerivatives in 2000 with the aim of introducing transparency to the world of options. Since then, the company has expanded rapidly to have a strong global presence and is today recognized as the benchmark for option pricing and a market leader in derivatives technology including front end platforms, risk management systems, revaluation services and online execution utilities. David’s vision to bring transparency to the world of options has materialized with a significant part of derivatives professionals all over the world utilize SuperDerivatives platforms for their day to day activities. Furthermore, many industry observers credit SuperDerivatives for the sizable growth in the number of options users over the past couple of years and the dramatic increase in liquidity.

Prior to starting SuperDerivatives, David was Global Head of FX Exotic Options for Barclays Capital, based in the bank’s London headquarters. Earlier in his career he had traded at BZW New York (later to become Barclays Capital), covering emerging markets during their most volatile periods, and at Deutsche Bank in New York. David’s career on Wall Street began in 1994 in NationsBank’s mortgage department.

David has a Ph.D. in theoretical physics (Superstring theory), an MBA and an M.Sc. in Finance. The combination of his academic background and rich market experience has proved fundamental in the development of the patented SuperDerivatives benchmark pricing model for options, which uniquely provides an accurate reflection of the bid and offer prices of options in the inter-bank market in all asset classes.


Jack Jeffery
Chief Operations Officer

Jack Jeffery is responsible for the development and the execution of the company’s business strategies across all products and services.

Prior to joining SuperDerivatives, Jack was Chief Executive Officer of ICAP Electronic Broking, a division of ICAP, the world’s largest interdealer broker. Before that he served as Chief Executive Officer of EBS the largest interbank FX trading platform, and executed its acquisition by ICAP for $825 million. Earlier, Jack was employed by Citibank, both in Australia and the UK, most recently as Managing Director – Head of European Foreign Exchange and Global Head of FX Options.

Jack has served as a member of the Bank of England Joint Standing Committee and the US Federal Reserve Bank FX Committee.


Russel Levi
Executive Vice President, Global Head of Sales and Support

Russel Levi is responsible for worldwide sales and field operations including account management, client services, training and support.

Prior to joining SuperDerivatives, Russel served 19 years with Bloomberg LP - starting as a sales representative and rising through the ranks to assume senior positions including Head of EMEA Sales with revenue of over $1.5 billion and over 500 reports. His most recent appointment was as Bloomberg’s Global Head of Electronic Trading and Order Management Systems Unit.


Ravit Mandell
Vice President, Product Management

Ravit Mandell is responsible for leading the company’s product management team in developing and offering solutions covering all derivatives asset classes under the SuperDerivatives portfolio.

Prior to joining SuperDerivatives, Ravit was Global Head of Rates at Citigroup, where she was responsible for the option and swap desks, exotics and structuring desk, mortgage backed securities, CMO trading, and government and agency bonds trading.

As one of the financial world’s leading experts on financial derivatives trading and technology, Ravit has a wealth of first hand experience of the customer need for efficient tools for pricing and processing vanilla and exotic derivatives products.

She holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Columbia University and started her career at Salomon Brothers’ Bond Portfolio Analysis group.


Sam Somech
Executive Vice President, Head of R&D

Sam Somech is responsible for SuperDerivatives global product development activities and has been an investor and a member of the board since 2004.

Sam is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading experts on middleware messaging technologies and he is an experienced and successful entrepreneur. He founded Data Voice Systems which was acquired by IBM and became the foundation of IBM’s MQSeries®. Sam later co-founded and served as CEO of the software company Level 8 which successfully floated on NASDAQ in 1996. Level 8’s technology was acquired by Microsoft to provide the foundation for its MSMQ Messaging application. Sam was also involved in several technology companies such as Traiana, a financial technology company which was later sold in late 2007 to ICAP and served as Chairman of Itemfield which he sold in early 2007 to Informatica Corporation.


Dr. Yuval Levy
Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Yuval Levy has been SuperDerivatives Chief Technology Officer since the company’s inception in 2000. He is credited with setting up both the company’s research and development activities as well as its global distributed application hosting and delivery network. Yuval is involved in all areas of the company’s technology as well as serving as its leading algorithmic scientist.

Prior to his successful career in the world of financial analytics and technology, Dr. Levy, who has degrees in in Physics and Computer Science, was a prominent scientist in solid-state physics. As a physicist Yuval was a full time researcher responsible for a numerically-intensive statistical problem-solving high-performance computing center in the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.


Michael Lilo
Chief Financial Officer

Mike Lilo has served with several public companies as CFO, repeatedly participating in initial public offerings (IPOs) and secondary offerings, as well as merger and acquisition transactions.

Prior to joining SuperDerivatives, Mike served as CFO of Lipman which was acquired by by Verifone (NYSE:PAY) for $800 million and for five years as CFO of AudioCodes (NASDAQ: AUDC) where his role included a year and a half tenure as COO. Mike started his career at Scitex performing a wide variety of financial roles over an eleven year period.


Zohar Hod
Vice President, Strategic Sales

Zohar Hod is responsible for tailoring and implementing the company’s large scale multi-asset solutions to clients in the global banking and capital markets sectors.

Zohar specialises in front office to back office derivatives trading, processing and risk management, as well as algorithmic trading. He joined SuperDerivatives from IBM, where he founded the company’s Trading Solutions Group, IBM's fastest growing professional services practice. At IBM Zohar and his team advised, installed and integrated numerous derivatives trading systems for organisations across the world, creating record annual revenues for the company in this new practice area.

Prior to joining IBM, Zohar was a manager of KPMG/BearingPoint’s wealth management practice, and has founded several successful financial services technology platforms including ViewTrade.


Eitan Mikey
Senior Vice President - General Manager, Revaluation

Eitan Mikey is responsible for the SuperDerivatives Revaluation Business Unit and for the company’s business activities in the corporate treasury market; additionally he oversees the company’s day-to-day production operations.

With a background in accounting and economics, Eitan has 20 years of experience in varied financial, operational and business development executive positions. Prior to joining SuperDerivatives, he held several senior executive positions with the ICL Group (a $25 billion company and one of the world’s leading specialty chemicals vendors) , including CFO of its North American operation, Managing Director of the ICL’s Economics division, Vice President of Supply Chain Operations and Vice President for Business Development.


Anton Aucamp
Head of Marketing

Anton Aucamp joined SuperDerivatives following his role as head of marketing for ICAP electonic broking.

He joined ICAP following the group's purchase of the EBS spot FX dealing e-trading platform. Prior to his role at EBS, Aucamp was Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at ABN AMRO.

He brings over 20 years of global marketing experience for enhancing international brands to his position at SuperDerivatives.
